Hey guys,
I just bought an old frame and want to do a fg conversion. I'm planning to get the frame stripped/powdercoated etc, but I also want to add some water bottle fittings.
so 2 questions:
Are there any framebuilders in and around london who might be able to do it or cheap (I found bob jackson do them, but theyre located in the middle of nowhere and charge a fortune)?
Is it possible to do them ghetto style? I was thinking just drilling into the frame and tapping a thread into the holes for the M4 nuts, having measured and marked carefully etc. Its a steel frame so im not that worried about stripped threads, but are there any problems doing it this way? (structural integrity?) Also, rivnuts maybe? but then I would need to get/borrow tools.
