Well, it was born out of a mobile bicycle maintenance service, coupled with some druks vernacular, and the fact I rode fixed, but there was a lot of semantic disagreement at the time (2001ish) about fix/fixed/fixie/fixer/fixeur etc, so I stuck with the morphological root.
Stop messing with my fucking identity. I have enough trouble as it is.
