I found this bike on ebay, by the campagnelo components i'm guessing it wasn't cheap to put together. the girl's asking 250 saying that she paid 280 for the custom built. i'm going for a test ride on thursday but was thinking to ask around if its worth it and if i wouldnt be overpaying. im kinda skint at the mo
its vintage claude butler frame and specs are as follows:
Gran Sport style fluted seat post (26.4mm), 700c wheels with large flange Normandy track hubs(cleaned and repacked) fitted with continental 'gator skin' tyres (period correct tyres with sidewalls can be purchased as an option), Campagnolo Gran Sport crank (170mm), Campagnolo Gran Sport bottom bracket (New bearings and cups), TDC headset(new bearings), refurbished 60's Weinmann centre pull brakes, (I am still looking for some long reach GS brakes, even though the long reach ones are really quite rare, some will appear in a few months), ladies specialized saddle, 60's chrome seat pin bolt, new brake cables and inners, Aluminium riser bars with black charge grips fitted with a chrome Titan 50's track stem (80mm)
