these things weigh a ton i test road one and was going to get one for my first fixie but got a draft lite instead the draft lite is 1million pounds better for only 50 pounds more

Re-post from another thread concerning these bikes
I ended up with a unipack from a mate who was moving back to the states and as my bike had recently been stolen I happily took it. He had bought it new six months previously.
First thing I have to say about it is HEAVY but I'm not too bothered because I'm using it for commuting and it means it's a good fitness trainer as well. Also, the wheels are shit. The rims will distort, the spokes will snap, and the tires have the anti-penetration power of a liquored up prom-date. The cranks were 175 so made me very conscious of cornering.
I actually replaced the chain when I went to pick it up after having done a bit of research. I have steadily been replacing parts on it as they begin to wear and at this point about the only thing left to replace is the frame! This "upgrading" has been over the time span of about a year and a half. To be perfectly honest I've put more money into the bike than it was ever worth BUT as I didn't have a chunk of chain to drop on a new bike when I needed one, the drip in expense has worked out well. Current plan is to buy a new frame soonish and fit it with any of the "worth saving" parts from the old bike (wheels, cranks, etc.)
