I look at the music as a circle of influence. Different cultures feed one another.
Seen as "black" reggae, dancehall, hiphop, raggeaton, soca, baila funk, calypso would never exist without The Beatles, country, Kraftwerk, french ballroom dances etc.
Predominantly white rock (and metal) would never evolve without rhythm'n'blues and blues, hiphop etc.
