The best paint? If you want to do a rattle can job, it has to be Plasti-Kote. They sell them at B&Q. I sprayed my bike in 'pewter' and added the metallic (sealer) lacquer. Doesn't run too easy once you get the hang of it. You'll need a can of primer, can of top coat and if using metallic, a can of 'sealer'.
It should go without saying that the end result will only be as good as your preparation and careful spraying.
