Don't know that much about hubgears, but my first thought would be to check out the drop out sizes to make sure they'll fit.
Pretty sure from another thread the new shimano stuffs meant to be good.
I think there's a site called peter whites or something (US wheelbuilder) and he has alot of info on hub gears.
