• Hi everyone,
I’ve just sorted out another lot of interesting and bargain frames and three bikes. Shipping on frames within the UK will be £11 - other items can ship free of charge in the same box. I can ship anywhere in the world at a reasonable cost.

    ALL ITEMS ARE IN BRISTOL

Payment can be via bank transfer (preferred), cheque or the dreaded Paypal which costs me 3%…

** If you dib an item, please PM me and pay the same day unless you make other arrangements with me. Otherwise it may well be sold to the next person who wants it...**

Viewing/Personal collection is welcome as quite a few have found and have been able to get other parts they are looking for at the same time.

    MOTOBECANE MONACO ROAD FRAME c1975

Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 62mm
Frame Tubing: Vitus 888 butted tubing
    Seatpost size: 26.4mm
This is an attractive Motobecane road frame built from Vitus 888 butted tubing and dating from the late 1970s which is in very sound condition. It comes complete with seatpost and handlebar stem. It will make an easy conversion to singlespeed or fixed. £59 SOLD

    DAVE LLOYD ROAD FRAME c1980
    Seat Tube (ctc): 54cm (21.25in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 52.5cm (20.75in)
    Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C (brake drop 50mm)
    Frame tubing: Probably Reynolds 531SL
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This is an exceptionally nice early road frame from Dave Lloyd which probably dates from around 1980 and which I think is built from Reynolds 531SL tubing - it is much lighter than most road frames of the period. The chrome on the head lugs and forks is generally very good but that on the rear stays is not quite as good. The paint is very sound. It will make an excellent road bike - and comes complete with a Stronglight roller bearing headset in very good condition. The Omas BB will not be included as standard - but could be left in for an additional £20. £175

    HOLDSWORTH WHIRLWIND ROAD FRAME c1952
    Seat Tube (ctt): 56cm (22in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
    Rear dropout width: 115mm
Wheel size: 27s or 700C (brake drop 65mm)
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
The Holdsworth Whirlwind model was launched under the Sirocco name in 1951 - they renamed it as the Whirlwind for the 1952 season. This frame dates from 1952 I think and is therefore a Whirlwind. For 1953 they developed a new style of lugwork for the Whirlwind model so the Sirocco/Whirlwind model is really quite unusual and is very attractive. This frame is in sound condition though some pitting can be seen under the rather poor paint it has now. Once restored it will be truly splendid. A chance to get one of Holdsworth’s fanciest lugged frames at a bargain price. £125 SOLD

HOLDSWORTH LA QUELDA ROAD FRAME c1948
    Seat Tube (ctt): 21.5in (55cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 22in (56cm)
    Rear dropout width: 110mm
    Wheel size: 27s or 700C
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 58mm
    Seatpost size: 27.0mm
Holdsworth’s La Quelda fillet brazed model from the 1940s has beautiful clean line to it. And this one has a 1 1/8in top tube that makes it a little stiffer than a standard lugged steel frame. It will make a great fixed or singlespeed conversion. £65 SOLD

    GEOFFREY BUTLER ROAD FRAME c1989
    Seat Tube (ctt): 22.5in (57cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 21.75in (55.5cm)
    Rear dropout width: 126mm
    Wheel size: 700C
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 45mm
    Frame Tubing: Reynolds 531C
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This a low mileage (I would guess less than 500 miles) road frame built from Reynolds 531C tubing. The frame is in excellent condition with just a few small marks to the paint. Despite having mudguard eyes clearances are typical close road racing. It will make an easy conversion to singlespeed or fixed. £175 SOLD

PEUGEOT MIXTE FRAME c1980 and parts
    Seat Tube (ctc): 49cm (19in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 54cm (21.25in)
    Rear dropout width: 120mm
    Wheel size: 700C
This Peugeot mixte frame comes complete with virtually everything except for wheels - however it will need new cables. A bargain at £49.

CLAUD BUTLER NEW ALLROUNDER ROAD FRAME 1956
    Seat Tube (ctt): 22.5in (57cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 22in (56cm)
    Rear dropout width: 118mm
Wheel size: 27s or 700C with a brake drop of 62mm
    Seatpost size: 27.0mm
This frame is built with Claud Butler’s bilaminated All Rounder/Avant Coureur lugs. Although bilaminated frames when painted look as if they are built with lugs they are in fact fillet brazed. The ‘lug parts’ are sleeves which feature cut outs just like the ends of lugs. These are first brazed onto the end of each tube to be joined. The tubes complete with sleeves are then fillet brazed together. Claud Butler claimed that in tests at the National Physical Laboratory this type of joint proved to be 25% stronger than a conventional lugged joint. The ‘lugs’ are cut out to a very attractive shape and once this frame is refinished it will look really splendid. The frame is in perfectly sound condition and could easily be used as a fixed or singlespeed conversion. £89
