  • Garners is for wimps, HTFU and make your own. They're not real pickled onions unless you've spent a few hours crying over peeling onions and huffing vinegar fumes. Best to do them with chillies, cracked pepercorns and a few other spices as well otherwise you won't be on the edge of tears a few months later when you come to eat them.

    I bought some the other week from my local F&V fella, can't remember the name of them. They've just got a whole new wall put up of this particular brands product - jams, chutneys, curds, pate's etc
    The pickled onions are lish, proper 'mouthbreather' when one takes a big chunk - got peppercorns and other bits in the vinegar
