the casette was new about 2 months ago, and has been run with other chains on diffrent bikes so it is used, but not many miles. i got the mechanic in the shop where i got the chain to check it as i thought this could be a problem, but he said theres was barley any wear so should be fine.
i also cleaned the whole cassette with white spirit before fitting the new chain.
