ah right, that makes sense, i was just counting them differently. i was counting the outer + inner as a complete piece. so in total ive taken out 6 pins.
i think the chain should be shorter still, as it doesn't engage properly in the big sprokets. there is still some slack in the big - big combo. im a little concerned to be taking the chain apart more than it needs to.
in the big - big i understand that the mech is happy as long as the chain passes an "S" bend, is it fine as long as it can shift to the largest sporket?
