What the Bus company told you seems highly dubious: Unless you agree otherwise you have a right to a copy of any footage of you.

fair enough, could prob of taken it further but at the time wasn't too fussed, it would just end up with me having a massive face plant and then throwing my bike across the road. Maybe it was too much hassle for them?
