Bump for monday morn.
Price drop £290

I've no idea how much those wheels are worth, but tbh i think 290 is a bit steep for a 501 frame

To be honest, I just want to cover my costs on it and move it along to another home as at the moment its sitting in my living room, with a tyre half across the TV!
Offers or advice on price appreciated would 250 be more in line?

Think it'd be quite an easy sale if you made it ss and stuck a seat on it. It's a good looking bike and a great starting point for someone
Re money I've no idea, but for a decent bike that's ready to roll I think 250ish would def be fair

Covering costs is something that is offten fairly hard to do, especially on complete builds.
I think you'll have trouble shifting it here for much over £200 as this delight is having trouble selling at £350

I'd debate what your definition of "Delight" is but yeah I agree on the covering costs. Ah well, I'm in no real hurry, and there is always ELame and Scumtree I guess.

I concur with kboy, a simple seat and single speed/halflink chain to get decent chain tension and you'll be away...

WTF Dov?
I have spent fucking hundreds of pounds on this forum through people that donate to the server costs.
Not only that I have said I will donate 10% to the forum, so hows about you go find something else to fill your grumpy little life with.
Thanks, now jog on

at least £200 would be fine for this bike.
it's pretty hard shifting a bicycle that you've just done up, so I'm sorry to says that there's little chance of earning your money back when trying to sell it.
alternately, and a move that you might not want to do - sell it in part, you'll be pleasantly surprised by how much you'll make through this.

?
You just donated so that's good by me, good luck with the sale, but do as Ed says.

The point I was trying to make and probably failed because I was a bit pissed off was that by spending money through traders on here they hopefully like myself donate a fraction of there sales. Now I have sold something (for the first time) I have donated.
Thanks Ed and Mr I will try a little longer to sell as completer and then consider splitting it up etc. thanks for the advice.
Peace
55cm red 501 style bike.
