^^ euph ?
dammit will give you his cat for free
maybe even pay you to take it of his handshttp://www.lfgss.com/thread39235.html
read the tales of his cat right here
although if it has stopped jumping out of windows and pissing all over the place and stopped ruining his antique furniture, he may not be quite so keen to get rid of it now -

Oh yes, Dicki, I know all about the James debacle. Guapo won't let us get a cat yet, we share. Hence the need to pet a cat.
I would love to come visit Jaygee and VeeVee and Georges!
Crystal Palace would be good, I could practice hills, too, once I get the geared bike up and running (this weekend, it better be, dammit!)

Jen.
I heard that T4NY4 rents her cats out, or at least has them babysat whenever she is away.
You could volunteer for that gig -

yes, not a euphemism....

James is a big fan of having a fuss made of him, you are welcome to come over whenever you want.

What about a small pet like a guinea pig or rabbit? They live very happily indoors (and can be house-trained too), plus if you adopted an older/adult one it wouldn't have to be a massive long-term commitment? Not great at playing fetch though...

Maybe you could come round this weekend and watch our cat while we move? Give her some love and attention so she doesn't freak out?

Oh, yes, Nhatt! I think that i am free, I have to just check that I didn't plan anything for Saturday that I've forgotten about (Oh god, I need a smartphone again!!).
Gaffa looks lovely, a nice hipster cat there.
I would totally love a hedgehog! Guinea pigs and the like are right out, ew. Bunnies...soft but skittish. Plus, don't want to have to buy a cage and clean it out. So I like the idea of petting someone else's cat every now and again now, then when we move back to the States we'll get one of our own (Aram does love cats, after all!).
Dammit, y'all are super close. I could totally come by and pet James.
Yay! Cat options galore! I can just make plans to visit various cats in various South London locales, the opposite of the tomcat who goes around getting fed at everyone's houses.

Jenne, why do you want to stroke a cat so badly?
-
• #18
just get rid of the smell of each cat before you move on to the next otherwise you'll get molested / attacked

Hi there
You could always volunteer for the Mayhew Animal Home and Humane Education Centre or The Blue Cross. You'd get plenty of hands on experience. I sometimes temperament test Akitas at Battersea. You would not have to wait for a year to get hands on experience. Why not contact them directly and ask?
Regards

I heard that T4NY4 rents her cats out, or at least has them babysat whenever she is away.
You could volunteer for that gigStu, how did I miss this post? I do want to go pet her kitties but Shepherd's Bush is ages away! However, as I need to come visit you and get my new nose ring and see the gore, I might could fit in a visit with cats, too. Wait, can I see the gore?
Elguapo keeps telling me that I need to volunteer to work at Cattersea or something but apparently you don't get to be anywhere near the animals until you've been volunteering for a year! So basically, I need to come round your place and pet your kitten or cat. Or a really cute, soft dog, in a pinch. A lap cat or lap dog would, of course, be best, I don't want to have to chase your pet around to pet it. This is not a euphemism. I am serious. Dammit, I don't know if James is interested enough in being petted to be worth coming over. A real sloth cat is what I'm looking for here.
Who in S/SE London has a cat they'll let me pet??
