if he's 5'7ish he will want something bigger than 49cm. just built a 50cm SS for a friend who is 5'2". unless of course he is particularly short in the leg.
as i found out, it's quite hard finding frames (decent ones anyway) that small.

Unless he's got really short legs thats gonna be too small. A 52/53cm would be much more like it.

Hello,
A friend of mine is looking to buy his a new bike, his first fixed gear, and is after something ready to ride.
He might just go and buy a Bianchi Pista (so presumably he has about £450 to spend)
but I just thought I'd see if anyone has anything they're selling that might be suitable for him.
He's 5 ft 7 ish, so it needs to be smallish.
