My first build, for my wife who calls it the barbie-bike, she's doing her MBA in Paris where she currently zips about on it...
< reader's wife's readers' wives pics>What do you call that colour?

WTF is going on here? I don't just mean skeleton brakes on a shopping bike, although that's sill enough since they don't have a QR and therefore preclude the use of sensible sized tyres. But, to compound the fail, there seems to be a tube nut attached to the free end of the cable adjuster barrel.
Calm down mdcc, it's not life or death. Oh it is?!

Just edit post one in this thread, cause I think thats the only thing the posters of readers wife's and other stupid own projects look at.

A recommendation of a mechanical engineer to improve straightline tension and reduce fatigue - that's why the tube-nut has been applied. It happens to be that thread pitch for a reason. But you knew that surely 'mdcc' or are you just angry at the world and do nothing more than constantly criticise ... ahh there's where the 'cc' comes in.

You mean "I couldn't get the right cable outer length to make the adjuster sit flat on top of the brake arm, so i bodged it down with an Allen nut, complicating and limiting the ability to adjust for brake wear."
(If you want support and encouragement, post in the current projects thread. If you want niggling criticism, post in the porn thread. If you also want to guarantee a hostile response, then ignore convention and post a bike you built or own in the porn thread.)

I can't believe an engineer would suggest that. It's against the rules...the maveric.

Ironically it sits and operates perfectly - there was never any 'issue' - it was a post build recommendation from someone I know. It's not caused a problem maybe I should remove it to be 'purer'. Didn't expect so much flaming...
For what it's worth Sheldon Brown has been the inspiration and go-to-person...

You can talk to the dead?
Ironically, you've posted your own build into the porn thread, hence the flaming, now take your medicine and fuck right off, cunt. -

Do you people not read back one fucking page in the thread before subjecting us to your readers' wives?
If he'd posted it in the right thread, some nonce would have bounced it over to here, because that sort of thing seems to appeal to some people.
You are an an annoying, arrogant, boring cunt. Ignored.
