My old flatmate used to listen to them. I hated them. I thought all their songs sounded the same, which is ironic considering I'm a massive techno head.
The gf was playing one of their songs a few years ago, some kind of electro/classical intro - almost like a trance track. It aroused my curiosity and I started to listen to some of their stuff. I've seen them live a few times and have enjoyed their concerts. I don't think I can name one of their songs though. The CDs I've bought have been for the gf, not me.
I'm not sure what Balki's emo connection is. Maybe I don't get them at all?
