  • not so sure about the skate/bmx helmets for the lack of ventilation.
so far all the suggestions above look like good uns especially the kompact pro and the giro saros but i'll definitely try on a few first as i've never had one that fitted properly

should we bring out the gimp ga2g to make a list of recommended helmets?

  • Another +1 for the Specialized S Works, I haven't tried the others but the thin/soft straps were the deal maker for me. I was put off by the Giro offerings in the same price range due to the adjustment system my old helmet (Giro Monza I think) breaking.

  • Catlike Kompact Pro - it jas an adjustment 'wheel' at the back, much better than those clasp mechanisms IMO.

  • I dont like the fit of my Kompact Pro, but I have an oddly shaped head. However as Buddha Fingaz says, the adjustment wheel is really good. Not a bad looking lid either.

  • it really freaks me out when you post a serious answer

  • I am feeling very serious today.

Is "very serious" one of todays aliases?

    is it a guy?

  • does anyone know if condor have a good selection of helmets?

  • Has to be, the ladies have somewhere else to be.

  • Condor stock Catlike.

  • So do 14BikeCo, I got mine there for £125.

Not a great range of other helmets there though me finks. Mind you I knew I wanted the Catlike, so I wasnt realy looking.

  • Condor don't sell the Kompact Pro though.

The adjustment wheel mechanism was the bit that broke - but only a little strap guide bit at the end - no safety issue just a bit annoying on what's a fairly expensive lid. As I say customer service was great - duff bit replaced immediately.

  • I think the Met helmets are under-rated. I have a 2010 stradi*~£#$%... that is really light has a nice fit for the bulbus of head. Most impotantly it looks like it was designed by H.R. Gieger.

    Prendas for Catlike.

  • Tried stradivarius few weeks ago when I bought a new helmet. It didnt fit my head at all. Had it on my head for 2mins and got headache. Bought black giro atmos. Really love the helmet.

    it is the left one:

  • I have a Catlike Whisper. It lives in the shed. I wear a cap.

    Just thought I'd share.

    Your head is'nt bulbus enough.

  • I really like my Giro Atmos. I just wish it wasn't silver.

  • no contest

    Circumcision may be the answer.

  • Had a Bell Volt until two weeks ago. (crashed during the last race of the season and it did it's job very well). Looked good. Good fit. Plenty ventilation. Saved me from drinking meals through a straw.

    I commute in Giro Atmos

Going for Uvex FP1 as race helmet for next season.
