  • I don't know any

    Of course you know!

From Brixton Cycles, Canal Route, LMNH, BLB, Foffa etc. They're all here :-)

  • I like Whizzbikes in Brentford. Although now they have been taken over by Evans they are still the same mechanics. Amusingly their post code in TW8 8AT!

  • are you serious?

assuming you have the correct headset you can just drop it in.

really? will try that then. will need the steerer cut at some point too

  • Quoting the image so I can look at it again, really nice work Wayne they look awesome.

Also, a piece of piss. Fuck the guide though and use 2 stems and tape the steerer tube to stop the laminate flaking.

  • Park Tool is good for pretty much anything you need, much easier to use than Sheldon too.

  • So I'm pretty happy to get my hands dirty, get covered in oil, and generally fiddle about in dark crevices...

...and I don't mind servicing my own bike AMIRITE LADS????

    Lol!!!

  • Too late for a recommendation for CG, but I go to Bike Yard East:

A little hard to find, behind Hackney City Farm, but friendly and competent. Run by Thérèse and Celia, ex of London Fields Cycles.

Yup. The new shop is cycle maintenance nirvana. It's just a workshop... on the high street. They know what they're doing, and they don't charge the earth for it.

I used that place on Lamb's Conduit Street once... bikefix.co.uk . They were OK. Nice peopl, knew what they were on about, etc... but it's a bit vulgar to have them enquire about the price of my bike so I'll probably not go back there.

Putney Cycles have my business instead.
