Eccentric Axle / Eno alternatives

  • White Industries hubs are expensive. This (admittedly old) article suggests that there are alternatives (Fixed Innovations axle mentioned).

I've not been able to find much out about them, but I can imagine it shouldn't be hard to create an eccentric spacer for any standard hub. Just asked in Condor, and they suggested it's doable but would be a custom CNC job - unfortunately I don't have a CNC lathe...

I know this has been asked before - but has anyone any information about ENO alternatives, or about some "of the other companies now nosing around this niche"

    Cheers,

    Chris

  • replace dropouts for track ends...?

  • Would be about the same cost after a respray

  • Yeah - replacing the dropouts is an option, but probably more expensive than the hub - this frame is nice, but it's not my main one so may not stick with me forever. Doing something around the wheel makes sense to me, as the problem is then solved for good and you could use it on other frames.

Will probably end up with the ENO, but just wondering out loud really.
