  • that's fucking disgusting!

and fucking dangerous in bright sunlight.

Saw it a few months ago and it was scratched/keyed up.

In Sweden they call Mercs/BMWs nazi sledges, this is a nazi sledge on acid.

  • Grey fixie locked up on the gates round the back of the custard factory yest at 4ish...not enough spaces to lock up there!
Gorgeous red russian(?) frame locked up outside mac this afternoon.
Guy on a pink and blue fixie dashing down Cecil towards Rea route at 3ish today.

  • It was me

  • Saw BlowieBen/Win$ton Green this morning at the top of Broad Street, on the other side of the road, he didn't see me.

  • it was Lee

  • aaaah yeah, first courier spot

  • how goes life as a courier?

  • it's the bomb, plus they're treating me really well. The boss told me that going from st. paul's square to a pick up at the top of broad street, then to bradford street near OYB and back to st paul's was too far and I should have let a car courier do it. And when there weren't any deliveries to be made and I asked if there were any odd jobs need doing, he said I didn't need to be working all the time. It's the bomb.

  • Sounds pretty awesome.

You're not the only one I've heard that sort of thing from, but your boss sounds like he really underestimates the potential of human legs!

  • ^ You still couriering, or is it only fin + pete I have to challenge for Birmingham no.1 cycling badman?

  • The boss told me that going from st. paul's square to a pick up at the top of broad street, then to bradford street near OYB and back to st paul's was too far and I should have let a car courier do it. .

For what it's worth, my radius seems to be Five Ways to the west, Jewellery Qtr train station to the north, Aston Uni to the east and Custard Factory to the (kind of) south.
Occasional trips further afield, Tower Ballroom for example.
Was the boss saying it was too much in one trip or that one of those pick-ups/drops were too far out?
I'm no workaholic but I'm really only doing this job to ride my bike as much as possible so the more they send me out the happier I am, between jobs I try and do errands for the other workers, that sort of thing. Way I see it is I'm getting paid to keep fit, so if I were you I'd push to do runs like that...
And obviously, every time you do it on your bike it's one less car journey in this ridiculously carcentric city.

  • ^Yeah true, I was telling him that a journey like that was absoloutely fine for me and I have been pushing to do runs, but the point is I'm enjoying doing the pushing and not being pushed. He was saying it was too far for one trip. Your radius seems pretty much like what mine is shaping up to be. My bike's a bit of a shitstate at the moment and will be for the next couple of days so it's no bad thing for now.

    just fin & pete!
