That's a bit harsh and a bit unfair. I haven't sold any of the Paper Bicycles to bicycle hire shops yet in the UK and I'd judge the component quality to be spot on for the bicycles intended use.
The spec is intended for five years of living outside with daily use, and the 1000 odd that are in daily use in Switzerland as part of their public bike schemes are testament to that.
Sure its not as light as it can be, but with the low centre of gravity it rides a lot lighter than you'd expect.
