Back wheel stolen today, new one needed urgently!

So my girlfriends back wheel was stolen off her bike (gold Dave russell track) today outside Bethnal green station - it was a Mavic cxp 30 polished 36h snowflake laced to a vintage brampton track hub with a 19 tooth freewheel. if it is offered to anyone for sale please buy it and I will reimburse you for it.

I would really like to get her a new wheel to get her back on the road as having a bike cuts her journey time to work immensely. Anyone have anything going? doesn't have to be anything special, just 700c and a track hub.

Nice to know some cunts will steal anything not nailed down, in broad daylight. Makes me want to set up a decoy bike and paintball the little assfuckers.

If balki gets distracted I have a DA 7600 laced to an original issue DP18 hanging in my wardrobe doing nowt- no sprocket or lockring though.

And I have sprockets (16, 17 and an 18T freewheel) and lockrings.

Hey, Ben. I've got a Formula hub laced to an Open Pro if you need a loaner. Matt (middleofnowhere) currently has it. Nowhere near as bling as a DA laced to DP18 but it's there if you need it!

I've no use for the wheel, but getting the rim and the hub were such a pain I'd rather keep it.

Ergo by my rather twisted logic if I lend it to you I still own it, if that makes sense?

locking your bike outside a tube station, especially one like Bethnal Green, where the active presence of bike thieves is plain for all to see, is advertising it to the scum. Locking it inadequately is just asking for trouble.

TBF, the Fuji has spent many a pleasant evening locked to the railings outside Forchetta and come to no harm. On the other other hand, mine is by design a very, very unbling bike.

I have a wheel I rescued from the bin. Looks to be a silver DP18 with a 18 tooth freewheel. It's got a low spoke count (think it's off a create...) and is slightly egg shaped, but the hubs roll and the freewheel is good. Might be able to get the wheel more round easily enough with a spoke key. I can give you an worn conti gatorskin too if you need. I'm up in stokey, let me know if you want it. it'll get you GF rolling anyway.

blimey, i walked past, and admired, that Dave Russell on my way to work today. shame. I have a 16t freewheel if the fixed offers fall through.
