really glad i popped by after playing football. managed to have a good catch up with emil, markyboy and maxcrowe. and a little bit of chit chat with a fair few others. massive turnout tonight and would have been nice to have more time to catch up with everyone else. i hope this summer runs and runs.

I like South beers. There isn't, in the air and from the clientele, the whiff of rancid goose fat that often mars a trip to SEs, nor the tedious chore of having constantly to wipe off from one's shirt front the reckless spittle of other drinkers that all too frequently distinguishes an evening at Easts. Wests has its charms though sadly they are so often sullied by the singing of the 1930's racialist anthems that form a monotonous Vuvuzela-like background noise.
So, Souths it is for me with all its bubbling joi de vivre and its vibrant mis-en-scene.

and there was me thinking it was that crazy drunk woman, who seemed very keen on you and Festus.
This was the same women, who screamed at me as I arrived - slightly panicky about losing my wallet.. 'I LOVE YOUR HAT!' Thank you Marky for rescuing me promptly from the crazy witch.
I did find it rather amusing that she kept nodding off behind her sunglasses as her mate was chatting away to her though, and her randomly walking up to Skully and shouting 'Can I have a chip' as she just took some.

I got there about 5.40 tonight and they were drunk and boorish then. As soon as Markyboy arrived I steered him well clear.
