I think gender is not the issue at the heart of this, it's about what type of forum people want.........

I suspect there's many, many males as well as females who avoid forum rides because they have no idea of their ability or otherwise to keep up with the pace. I bought my first bike in 30+ years recently and have since joined a local club and progressed up to the fast Sunday ride with them but was originally scared shitless of being left for dead on my first outing. It's all about getting out there in the first place.
Perhaps all rides should in future include a guidline pace / ability sub heading? Oh, and a few definite beginner rides with male and female leaders?
Can't we just highlight all the womens threads in pink?
