Just a note: I took a kitten I had found to the RSPCA hospital once. My plan was that if no one claimed it I would keep it. However this is not allowed because, so I was told, some people take in their own cats when they are injured and pretend they have found them, get the free treatment and then 'adopt' the cat. Or they have, perhaps accidentally, injured the animal and want to avoid being accused of cruelty. So I would advise you to take it to the RSCA or Celia Hammond but you are unlikely to be allowed to keep the kitten once it is well.
