• Too bad someone decided to go racing in the end all of a sudden.

Hmmm. Agreed. If its billed as a social ride then it should stay that way, its not particularly fair speeding off on people and then not being bothered waiting for them when the route takes some turns down laneways and one-ways.

Knowing someone has gone down in traffic and is potentially injured but cycling on anyway regardless leaving them behind is also extremely not cool... I had no idea where I was last night but getting to a recognisable destination is not that important, you can always ask for directions. Ollie I hope you are OK this morning, I am glad that you seemed to come out of it with zero serious scrapes, it was lucky traffic was coming to a stop at the time.

Maybe I got up out of the wrong side of bed this morning, but just one more gripe :-) People should be careful before swerving in a group ride... twice I nearly got crashed into, first by someone who wanted to accelerate off towards the front, secondly by someone fishtailing around when doing a skid. I know we arent doing pacelines or anything like that but a simple shoulder check before moving sideways when you're riding in a large group will avoid clipping someone's front wheel with your rear.

I got some photos and videos off my phone, I'll stick them up later.
