This is an interesting road bike, Columbus steel frame with lovely chromed fork crown. Badged with the name Adorni Vittorio. Adorni was an Italian rider who won the World Championship road race in 1968. I suspect that the bike dates from just after that as he would have used his new found fame to cash in. The tubing is rather similar to 531 double butted in that it rides very well and is not at all whippy despite being a 24 inch frame with a 24 inch top tube. It would probably fit someone of 5ft 11inches to about 6ft 3. The front wheel has a lovely large flange Campag Record hub, the rear is an older style Shimano screw hub with a six speed block. I will include the original rear wheel which also has a Campagnolo Record hub and a fixed cog so you could use the bike fixed or geared.
The brakes are Campag as is the rear changer. The chainset is Ofmega. The bar and stem are 3T with Weinman levers. The downtube shifters are Campag.
There are no mudguard eyes but I have used clip on racing blades which fit nicely. The saddle is a modern one, the headset and bottom bracket are period but in good condition with no play.
The ride is smooth and crisp without being harsh, in short it's a usable classic which can be ridden geared or fixed.
The bike is in South London and can be seen in the evenings or saturday morning
