I'm paid a 'great deal' to understand complex problems, work with others to develop evidence based solutions to those problems then present this to politicians who then ignore the overwhelming weight of proof and do something completely fuc*ing stupid instead. Somethign that is proven to make the problem worse and will cost more money in the long run but hey it appeals to idiots who read the Sun or Daily Mail so it's OK.
