et the Izumi 1/1.8 from Condor for £14.99. I did, and it rides well. Comes with al the fitting bits. Strong and reliable, and cheap! My mates used 'em for over 14 years of couriering so thats your answer.

you want a fixed gear chain right? all of the above ones will be ok for hills and such, but if you want to skid or resist, you'll need a fixed gear chain, as they have dual stability so work both ways. A lot of lbs 's won't tell you this, as they want to make a sale, but it's really dangerous to run a singlespeed chain on a fixed gear. The pitch is also slightly different, so it will wear out your sprockets. as well as the added risk of chainsuck (when the chain 'locks up' and rolls itself into a ball like a hedgehog - and not the cute kind! this is an ankle-smashing dangerhog). watch out for cheap aluminum chains, or even worse the cheap taiwanese made brass ones with a steel coating - these, while they claim to be fixed gear chains, have unnidirectional rollers and no grubb-flanges.
