Sun. 27 June (2pm) - Free film screening at the Duke of York's Picturehouse
A rare chance to see a free screening of Jour de Fete (1949), by Jacques Tati on the big screen. Tati’s first feature has been acclaimed as a milestone in screen comedy; full of elaborate visual gags which often evoke the great days of the silent screen comedians. It is also a satire on modern obsessions with speed and technology as a rural cycling postman attempts to emulate American-style efficiency. Come to the cinema on your bike, pick up a cycling freebie and visit our free Bike Doctor after the film. http://www.picturehouses.co.uk/cinema/Duke_Of_Yorks
