• It looks like it's going to be a scorcher this weekend, so I will do the motherly thing and remind you all to make sure you bring plenty of water, and slap on the factor 30.

Please also make sure you bring a spare tube for yourself. I will have some tools and a pump - as I'm sure some others will, and some food/snacks for the journey

The plan is to have a definite half way stop at Turners Hill (around 30 miles in) There is a nice pub at the top of the hill and a place to sit outside and enjoy the sun. We'll stop there for half and hour tops, fill up water bottles, have a cold drink and use the facilities. Then off to Brighton for a cold pint on the beach! (if we can get on it)

As far as hills go, climb them at your own speed and we'll regroup at the top of the big ones. So you young greyhounds can sprint up and have a rest whilst the rest of us wheeze our way up :-)
There will prob be a mixture of fixed and geared, but the idea is to keep to the speed of the slowest rider and stay together and have a laugh.

I've also updated the OP and the turn sheet, so if everyone can print that out - it would be very helpful. There is a slight change to the mapped ride, that Stix discovered when she did the recce's on Oli's suggestion.
