Does your BB shell have any holes or cutouts in it? If not then it won't any difference.
If yes, then you can improvise a weather seal from a piece of plastic tubing. -

An old Fairy Liquid bottle is perfect for this.

Or one of these.
But not that one, as it's horrendously overpriced.

Just got a 09 Campy Record Pista Bottom Bracket really cheap from a local shop that I was hoping to weather proof with some bearing seals. Seems like I need the Campagnolo BB-RE205 seals to do this. Has anyone successfully purchased these online before, or know what size they are so I can get some unoriginal ones?
Cheers

Does anyone use the campagnolo pista bottom bracket for everyday road usage? I just wanted to enquire about whether the lack of a non weather proof seal actually makes *that *much of a difference. I'll be using C-Record cranks on this and it has been suggested that a Centaur or Veloce would do the trick too ( although I wonder whether the chain line would be as "perfect" as using the pista BB as one is symmetrical and the others asymmetrical )
thanks
centaur is symmetrical
