  • Bert Boom is a legend !

Not a frame builder, but he has been working for Gazelle for a while and had his own bike shop (Gazelle dealer).
After his carreer (a.o. World Champion stayer in Brno, Czechoslovakia), he was mechanic and mentor of Hennie Stamsnijder, worked for Shimano (mechanic, technical sales promotor) and olympic commity (tandem racers, wheel chair basketball).

  • Nice one Dutch Cheese. I bothered to look him up and found a few cool pictures too.

So, above the Bert Boom signature is written HANDGEMAAKT, which must be 'handmade'.

Do you have any idea about age of this frame?

  • nice frameset! i'd say it's an early 1970s model. you can check the age using the frame number here

  • PM on its way.
