Yup, not a good bike. I wouldn't get this. Don't look to save money so early when you don't know what you're doing. Investing a little more will always stand you in good stead in the long run. The key is that cycling isn't 'cheap'. It's much better value for money than driving or public transport, but to get a decent cycling experience you want to spend some more to be happier.
Look around the forum a bit more and see the possibilities. Look at the Classifieds here in preference to Gumtree. See the 'Current Projects' thread, too, for what people are building. Good luck.
