Sales went well, 86 shirts sold. Money going to the bank tomorrow. This means I've now only got 293 shirts left!
The end of the night was a near disaster though.
I had put my house keys in my car, and the car in Smithfields market itself... only to discover that they had lowered the gates and that my car was not going to be let out until 3am Monday.
Had to get police and market security to run around for me and open up the gate to let my car out. Then had to sign forms to say that it was my car and why it was there, and also not leave the car unattended before it left the site (which it had to do "immediately").
So what was a "I'll stroll over and see how to bring the car around" became a "holy shit, I can't get to the car, nor into my house, and how the hell do I get the shirts home?".
In the end I had to recruit a whole army of forumengers to ferry the shirt boxes across to the car in a Dunkirk style retreat.
Now looking at everything, I think there's a few items that were left behind. One of which was the cash box (but thankfully I'd already moved the money to one of the T-shirt crates), and I can't find the energy saving light and extension reel that was loaned to me (I also don't know the forum name of who loaned it, so if this is you please let me know whether you recovered it or not as if not I'll dip into the forum coffers to replace it).
It was a really great day, and to be honest if it had gone without a hitch of any kind it wouldn't have been an LFGSS event.
