Ok, he has good balance.
He also has a road bike that his sponsor has given him so he aint worried about trashing it.
Put him on a mtb or trials bike or even a 700cmx n it's a bit of a dull vid.

I don't think he's trying to start a new thing, "tricks on road bikes", I think he's just showing what's possible and taking the piss! Martyn Ashton is, obviously, about the smothest trials rider in the world. He'd better be back on his proper bike now though!

Never the less I think its still all impressive, especially considering gear ratios, geometry, tyres etc. Also, as Bike Destroyer says, its obviously a piss take.

Tour de France next year perhaps - Prologue for the first stage then a Slope Style event on the road bike s in the afternoon.

If you can't ride in a straight line and back-flip a roadbike that's your loss.. some of us obviously have more difficult clubruns to contend with.

Back in the day when I used to ride DS Ashton and Hawes would be at all the series events doing promos and demos, basically trying to eek a living out of trials riding. Both really nice blokes.
