The Tower Hamlets Green Party is beginning a membership and fund-raising drive.
The Greens won their first MP in the election, Caroline Lucas of Brighton, along with a couple of MEP's, and at the London Assembly elections in 2012 we hope to increase on our 2 sitting members.
The Greens policies are based on radical change, and they are broadening their policies beyond their core environmental base, which hopefully offers a real alternative to the mainstream parties.
Check out their website if you want to find out more about Green Party policies, especially their Transport policy, which unsurprisingly is very cycling friendly!
If you want to get involved you can join up online, or if you live in Tower Hamlets and would like to come along to a meeting send me a pm.
If don't want to get involved, you can just donate to the party. The smug feeling of moral righteousness is well worth the money.
