How come nobody looks like themselves in those pictures?
That pink bike looks ace.. is it a Pearson?

but stolen all the same.I was about to say! haha. Yup I moan constantly on my blog about girls not playing polo...you guys are getting too good for me now. Next Tues I'm starting a polo build so no excuses! Might come watch tonight though...

Digital - Nikon D60, standard 18-55mm lens, no post/photoshop.
It was just beautiful light, and the red fence is a pretty wild colour anyway... -

All cameras automatically apply post-processing in the camera when the sensor data is converted to a .jpg image, unless you shoot in RAW mode, in which case you have to DIY the processing when you convert it manually.
No such thing as a 'pure' photograph.

I just meant I didn't mess with the image.

I knew what you meant. Shooting in RAW is great for quality and adjusting but far too much memory and faff so it's a given to auto convert to jpeg for general stuff. I never photoshop. Just wondered if it was a saturating film. Polo happens to be perfect light time though! Should have clocked that ages ago...

if you had a proper polo ratio you'd be A+!!!

i see what your saying and i need to do it but heres the thing, the polo bike kinda doubles as a spare bike too (at the moment) for when my ladybird comes to visit. i'm running 42-17 for polo and i stick on the 16t freewheel wheel so she can ride 42-16 with no messing around with chain length (also got a 18t freewheel).
maybe i'll go 44-19? 42-19? what kind of ratio range we talking for polo??

i use 38" i think, but most people seem to hover around 40" (there's a whole thread about this on the polo forum).
with a gear that low you tend to spin out going for the jousts, but at all other times you have so much more control and acceleration. but it is a massive ball-ache riding from stirchley to highgate on such a gear...

fixed i use 39-22 (48 gi) which is common
thinking of building a freewheel polo bike will prob be 45gi with whatever combination fits (30-18?). Might be selling that 22t cog/whole bike!!!!????anyone got a triple crankset?

hi, im from cambridge. im coming to your tournament on sunday, but i dont have a team.. do any of you need a player? thanks.
-
• #922
its not going to be a "tournament' really is it? i had in mind a day of throw-ins, some team orientation if youre looking to improve your team, otherwise random play.
thoughts?
-
• #923
ok thanks
-
• #924
i'm not fussed either way - i like the idea of throw-ins and informality, to be honest, but kind of assumed that people travelling over might want a bit more structure and more competitive play.
we'll play it by ear on the day when we see how many make it.

Won't be able to make polo tomorrow :(
I'll be down sunday tho
if their wikipedia description is anything to go by, i'd gamble on their music not showing up on ben's boombox anytime soon.
