Ah man, I wouldn't have left my lights on at Birkbeck, let alone used a cable lock. There's a big bunch of kids who scour all those bikes all day every day.
Decent U-lock & secondary lock, superglued ball bearings in seatpost bolt / stem bolt etc.. and they walk straight past.
