  • My friends cream look if you see it shout:

  • @Crucifixi what time were you on bricklane yesterday? I was there about 9.30 for 30 mins and didn't see a thing even the China Man was relatively clean. I guessed that all the pikeys were still in bed after the england game the night before.

  • Hi Guys, it's my first time posting, here, and I am devastated my beautiful bike was stolen over the weekend from a secure gated community in Victoria Park - the lock on our gate was broken and my bike (and the bike of a fiver year old) was stolen. Mine was chained to the front of my house at the back of the development, my next door neighbours were away which gave the b******** long enough to work on the lock.

Attached is a picture, it is a terry dolan and very individual, it has been reported to the police. I will be willing to pay a reward for the safe return of my bike or any information leading to the safe return.

I have attached a picture so if anyone sees it please please ring the police or let me know, it is a high value bike and it is in beautiful condition, i have even kept the plastic sticker over the campig bar :(

someone out there is not treating this bike with the respect it deserves and I am gutted. it is also quite a small frame as i am only 5"5 not many men are going to be able to ride this bike comfortably.

  • http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4027/4665975961_3217f79ce0_b.jpgDid anyone see the Lemond my mate had kicked last week?
I couldn't get done there yesterday as I was working ...

It has to turn up...I don't think it would have been split is was too pretty...

    please keep em peeled...many thanks!!

  • with regards to the guy who got his bike nicked outside the Britannia,
Theres a sign in the window which says bring your bikes into the garden as lots of bikes get nicked outside.
i was there about 5.30 - 6.30 and there was a group of 4 guys checking out all the bikes chained up outside.
leaving bikes outside any pub in that area ia asking for trouble.

  • no the lemond was not about the only suspicious one was the bright green genisis flyer

  • this thread makes me sad :(

  • i've managed to upload a pic to photobucket

here she is, I've flyered most of lauriston road, so hoping someone sees my bike, heading over to brick lane with more flyers today :(

    Photobucket

  • oops sorry here it is!

So they got six-month suspended sentences. You can see why the police don't bother investigating bicycle theft.

I'm fairly sure i've just seen this being ridden along Roman/ Bethnal Green Road at the big junction there.

Not 100% sure but it looked very similair (def: red chain, wheels and greyish coloured frame with a white section on tubing). I tried to get a closer look but being on foot (due to my bike being nicked on Saturday) i couldn't get close enough to see the name on the bike or the grips before the lights changed and the guy 'riding' it cycled off.

If they sold each bike on average for £150 then they would have made close to £40,000 in a 6 month period. plus the DOL and housing benifits. Even if they do get sent to jail it would only be for about 3 months (depending on good behaviour), which would be free living before they probably come straight back out and do it again.

Police should take into account the values of the bikes, if they are stealing bikes worth the other side of £1,500 that is more than the value of a small car!! :(

  • Bike are a whole new industries for criminal, easy way to make money without much prosecution.

  • Have anyone here got a LOOK stolen? a 90's cream geared bike with black carbon fork? Saw a kids riding it in covent garden today.

  • Someone posted about that today.

    EDIT: Here

  • Hello,

I stumbled across this forum looking for my stolen bike. Even though it has 21 gears, I thought someone might have seen it:

My 11 yrs old Cube Mountainbike was stolen last Friday in Clerkenwell (St. John's Square). Unfortunately, I don't have a picture (can't believe I had it for 11 yrs and never even took a picture of it...), but this is the description:

Darker yellow cube mountainbike, rock-shox suspension at front in black, red break fixings, one red bell, one silver chinese bell, silver bar ends, new back tire (Schwalbe Mountaineer), saddle is broken. Possibly with light fittings.

Please let me know if you have seen it or know about any other forums where I could possibly post this.

    Cheers!

  • Hey guys, I saw some asian youths earlier with a lot of bikes, some hybrids which I didnt catch what they were but they where all reasonable and new similar to a specialized sirrus.

One also had a Blue charge plug (the one with bull horns) white bar tape and a pair of white wheels.

Another had a nice Trek road bike new possible similar to this http://www.trekbikes.com/uk/en/bikes/road/2_series/25e/ I think there was more black in the paint job.

I reported them to the police as I had to pass Bethnal Green cop shop but the usual answer was they dont now they are stolen. What the fuck do the expect all the stolen bikes in london the the thief to turn up at there fucking door and hand themselves in. The was between 5-10 of them all on new dodgy bikes Im sure at least on of them must have been reported stolen that they could prove from the frame number. It was a 30sec drive away.

Anyways I hope some one reconises one of the two i described and I can point you in the direction of where to retrieve you bike.

  • Hey neilp, so I'm very new to this, but heard about LFGSS from a fellow cyclist tonight, and have just seen your post re: the hybrids you saw in Bethnal Green. I had my brand spanking Specialized Sirrus Elite stolen last night in Dalston....am cycling London-Brighton on Sunday and was intending to ride it there..is Gumtree my best bet or Brick Lane? And do they flog stolen bikes on Brick Lane every day or only on Sundays? Many thanks for any pointers!

  • The guys ive seen I think sell them on gumtree, Im not sure about brick lane but i think it is mainly sundays and you need to get there early!

The kids ive seen hang around globe road, I'll keep my eye out for your Sirrus, was it black? Im szorry to hear about your loss. Keep checking www.bikeshd.com it pulls bikes together from gum tree and ebay in the london area.

  • @Kornblume
Where abouts on St John's Square? We have CCTV footage in my building, above The Priory , which covers the North West corner

  • Thanks so much neilp. Yes, it was black. I'll definitely keep scouring www.bikeshed.com, but yes, please do let me know if you see it. I have registered the frame number so will cross fingers and toes.

  • Hi guys,
My friend C.B. put this out a couple of days ago, but I thought i'd stick a picture in this thread anyway...
LOOK 90's cream. Stolen from Holloway on saturday.
It was spotted in covent garden riden by some mid teens, and then again yesterday in brixton hill. If you see a cream look, it's 99% this one! Im 07901 825360, or call 999. It's been reported so the police can identify it from this number: CAD11421/12JUN
    Thanks for your help!
