Just reading through some of the posts I'm getting little flashbacks of all the times that I've been to the house and all the various places I've stayed in Smaland (that's the region of Sweden where the house is situated). I wish I had enough cash to buy out my wife's half of the property and transfer it to my name. I need to write to the caretakers and they're probably wondering what I'm up to as I said I'd visit in April. Time to brush up on my very broken Swedish. Vill du har lite glogg med pepparkakor?

BTW if anyone has a few extra grand knocking about and wants to invest in this let me know. As I said I'd love to buy out my wife's half but don't have enough spare cash myself. Can't promise you much of a return on the investment. But you'd have unlimited access and a share of any profits. Erm, which is zero at the moment.

It sounds like an amazing area - I hope you can hold on to it. What's the best way to contact you re: bookings? Message on this forum? :-)

I would be so up for this but my GF just used up all her holiday allowance.
This is such an awesome area - I really would recommend it. I spent Midsommar just outside Västervik a couple of years ago and loved it. The peace, wildlife, cleanliness of the air, friendliness of the people......it really is perfect. That said I'd struggle to recommend going to Sweden without spending a night or two in Stockholm - that city really is my favourite in Europe.
