I am sure that I have "Breaking Away" on divx. Certainly worth a watch for anyone that's not seen it. Also Triplets de Belleville.
But good idea otherwise Steve. Put my name down.

Yup. Try Talyor Johns for a venue... they host other film nights (and sell lots of Samuel Smiths Ales, although not the Old Taddy Porter unfortunately)

Good idea :) I was sort of assuming that we might not have the numbers to do it somewhere like that. At least, not initially. Also, the films I have are less than legit ;)

council of doom
Pedal (got)I've marked the films available at the moment. Some of the others I can probably rent if needed (Lovefilm account). Tempted to buy some of the Bootleg session DVDs as a couple are going cheap on Wiggle at the moment. Not really willing to shell out £20 for one!
Sooo... Shall I kick off the first one - how does either Friday 25th June or Friday 2nd July sound? Meet in Coventry sometime around 6pm and cycle back to mine in Leamington. Order up some take-away and maybe visit the off license etc.
Film suggestions for the eve - Fast Friday/MASH? (both about 40mins long).

Is Council of Doom any good?
Been wanting to see it for a while. -
• #12
I think I can make the 2nd. I am returning from a business trip on the 25th so it would depend what time I got back.
-
• #13
So we all good for the 2nd? Managed to aquire "Breaking Away" thanks to Marcus, also got "Road to Rubaix" now. Suggest we meet up somewhere like the Memorial Park at around 6pm Friday? Ride back to mine via Stoneleigh/Cubbington. Should be an easy ride of about 10 miles. Maybe order in some pizza or take-out etc?
So, what film do you guys want to watch?

I'm not back until late on 2nd, so I'm out, sorry.
A.

Edit - Can't do saturday now.

Who can make it? I have Barry (Albany Cycles/Gregg's mate) up for it, and Marcus. Got another mate, Jim, coming too and my flat mate, Dave.
Me (Steve)
Jim (Steve's mate)
Dave (Steve's flat mate)
Marcus
BarryAnyone else?
Still suggesting meeting at the Memorial park for 6pm, but let me know if that doesn't suit and we'll arrange something else. PM me if you want my mobile number.
The route back to mine goes through Stoneleigh, down the outskirts of Cubbington and through Lillington into Leam.

What day - tomorrow? Should be OK for me but I'm knackered as been away with work all week.
-
• #18
I suspect a nice easy ride to be honest mate. Feeling a little knackered myself :) Looks like just me, you, Barry and Dave. My mate Jim has pulled out as he's forgotten a prior engagement. I've sent Benski a PM as I believe he lives in Leamington. Will txt you later to confirm you're still on for meeting up.

Looks like everyone's busy tonight more or less. I think I'll postpone till next weekend? How's everyone fixed for Saturday next week?

Sooo... resurrect ahoy. Thinking we should still do this. Just downloaded London to Paris which appears to be available online now:

I'm busy off and on over the weekends to come, but I'm sure we could do something.

I'd be up for it but my diary is very full for a few weeks.

I think maybe leave it till April, as I'm pretty busy too. Just wanted to get people interested again.
Also, I watched London to Paris last night. Awesome quality 1080 res etc...

I'm up for it mate.
Just wondered if anyone would be interested in a bike orientated film night. I've aquired "copies" of a few fixed DVDs recently (MASH, Macaframa, Fast Friday etc) and also have a "copy" of Quicksilver to hand. There are other films out there though. I watched The Flying Scotsman a few weeks back which was pretty good.
So, no idea where to watch them, though welcome to do it at mine in Leam - it might combine a ride out from Cov I guess? Suggest maybe once a month?
So, First of can I get some help compiling a list of films to get hold of?
MASH
Macaframa
Fast Friday
Death Pedal 1
The Flying Scotsman
Quicksilver
Bootleg Sessions
Bicycle Thieves
