Imagine a massive sack of putrid shit... Double it, then double it again... Then imagine yourself in the middle of the really big sack of shit, suffocating... Double that...

That's what it's like working here...

When communting from Clapham I normally do Acre Lane > Coldharbor Lane > Camberwell Road > Albany Road > Old Kent Road > Tower Bridge Road

It probally a bit slower than Clapham Road > E & C but a lot less hairy

Having said that Id certainly try and heading over to greenwich and using the foot tunnel rather than going over the river and then along. Coldharbor > Peckham > Queens?

yup avoid cable street at the moment, the cycle lane is being relayed for a cycle super highway...... does anyone know whether this involves anything other than rebranding of an existing cycle route.....??!!

Oliver will... It is almost certainly just a rebranding tho'...

grrrrr..... but do have to say that the luminous blue they are using does appear to be more effective at marking out the cycle lane..... the cable street route is particularly frought with mother pushing pram and dragging toddler straight into your path.

wonder whether the blue will stay luminous and whether it will be used on other cycle routes.... especially where the lane is curbside.... could help discourage a few cut ups?
