Nice one, be good to ride with you again.
Do the DD, you know you want to! I'm in, have never done a night ride before, let alone after doing 60 miles earlier in the day!Just booked the train for Saturday morning, roll on the weekend!

• #106
Matt - how about Rolling to the Stones the day after instead?
-
• #107
Rolling to the Stones looks fun but would mean a day off work, could be hard to arrange at short notice.
-
• #108
not if you get the 0523 train from swindon!

Hmm, just realised this is the day after the night before, as in the England game. I'm not sure I will be in a state for this. We will see.
Easties, I plan to leave Brick Lane about 7:30am if I do this, if anyone wants to come along.

still trying to decide where i peel off from this watlington looks pretty easy but i guess it depends on peoples pace!
-
• #116
You could peel off at Watlington and follow the B40 back towards Henley, would mean climbing the hill you'd have just come over, but it ain't too high. The B40 meets the A4130 which isn't really a very nice road to cycle on. But it's not that far until you're in Henley.
Alternatively you could leave the group at Marlow and head along the A4155 to Henley.
Obviously it'd be best to go all the way to Oxford and get the train from there, but like you say, depends on the pace.On another note: Does anyone actually know the route? I should be mostly ok navigating once we get up past Marlow, but up until that point I'll be lost!

if I make it to oxford wth enough time then i'd be happier turning round and riding back the way i came, rather than spending cash on a train ticket, but i need to be in Wargrave by 3pm so will just have to play it by ear i guess.

have added my name to the list.
just a thought, have booked a train ticket already for the way back to London and called up to reserve a seat as i have to get back for a party. prices are quite cheap on thetrainline.com in advance still.
However, I called up the train operater prior to booking my ticket to reserve a spot for my bike on the train and the first choice of time i asked for had no space for cycles. so I just wonder whether people may want to reserve themselves some bike space for their journey home to ensure that they will get back ok.

The ride starts at 9.30, surely it won't take 2 hours to get over to Richmond? (not that I'll be going your direction)
-
• #121
I'm in - though planning to end up in MIlton keynes Saturday night - I'll probably split from the group mid way, if I can plan a good route into Milton Keynes.
I'll be riding from East. so will try and meet at Brick Lane - 7.30 may be a bit early though, Richmond is less than an hours ride away surely?

**Meeting up at Richmond Green for 9.00am for a 9.30am start **
what is confusing about that?
-
• #125
Thanks for that Damo. Several mentions of Brick Lane @7.30 threw me off, I gather that is a feeder group. Just want clear clarification, as on the Cambridge ride there was debate until the last minute about what time we would start etc...I ended up waiting in brick lane for an hour which were rubbish.
I live in Wandsworth, are there any feeder groups I can hook up with?
Man up!
