This is a track frame we're talking about, it already handle twitchy as it is, I just don't understand why people prefer to make it even worse by adding a 50-70mm stem on top of that, probably because it's the only way they can do this;
Because it's currently set up for a T Rex
Have some rep for that dear boy.

What I truly hate about the red Feather is the stupidly short hipsterised twitchy stem, I mean why? why can't you just put an 100-110mm stem on it?
i agree with this, but i have never enjoyed a 100+mm stem... that said, i ride on the hoods on my road bike and thats a nearly 200mm reach, so... i dunno.
ed that video is... i don't even know what to say.

A common misconception. Most track frames have less fork offset than road frames, giving more trail and more stable tracking.

Needs a few more frames to see if the SEAT gets stopped before hitting the fixie skidder.

It seems to have been overlooked since posted. Probably because of the shoes.
What rear hub is this? What frame is this? -

+1.
I think the increased trail makes it more noticeable when steering sharply due to the castor effect which may lead people to feel it is twitchy as it feels more on/off.
Ed, take a track frame and change the fork to higher offset and you will then find it less stable/steers more quickly. I changed a 30mm to a 45mm on a bike a few months ago and this is definitely the case.

It reacts more to a given countersteering angle, but it also takes more input force to generate the same countersteering angle compared with a short trail bike.

what's with the bar between the bars and the fork on the stayer?

what's with the bar between the bars and the fork on the stayer?
Not sure, but the riding position on these bikes is really leaned forward, and there's not 1 but 2 of those bars, bars and saddle. Possibly to support/reinforce it structurally?

Stops the very long stem flexing and adds stability.
