Nothing wrong with rollered frames. I did an experiment rollering thinned Rustoleum and with some serious wetsanding and polishing, it looks as good as enamel and is just as tough. 1ltr would be enough for three or four frames.
Took two weeks to cure, takes ages to get enough coats on and gets everywhere, but the finish is good and very tough. Cheaper than powdercoat especially if your nearest powdercoater is 20 miles away on an industrial estate with no transport links... people roller their cars with Rustoleum so there's nothing wrong with it if you're willing to put the work in.
