It seems, judging by google, that some great riders used that frame.. :) Still haven't figured out what Columbus tubeset it was build with though.
Tom Cordes, Rob Harmeling, John Talen and Gerrit de Vries became World Champion Team Time Trial in 1986 in Colorado Springs (USA) on those Batavus bikes.
Don't know exactly what tubing, but I guess standard SL, SLX or so.

Hi
Some pics of my first fixed build here... http://www.flickr.com/photos/50982811@N08/sets/72157624226438464/with/4679548727/

Just wondering, for my new build (a road bike with some tt clip on bars) how would i be able to run two brake levers going to the front brake? (one on the normal brake shifter and one on a lever on the tt clip ons) could i just put two cables into one brake?

Tektro RL720 and RL726 'Cross Top' Brake Lever
velosolo.com does what your after. I'm using one as a single lever, so I don't know how they work really. Nice, but the cable goes directly to the lever, so it wobbles about every time you brake.

Dutch Cheese; That is so cool... :)
I hope I can find out why the frame is disguised as a Pinarello... It could be some really nice danish rider that used it.. :)

It's a japanese Univega made by Miyata.
It was in really rough shape and had no parts. i puppy-killed it, sanded the rough spots and painted it. I'll put some white decals on it, just to spice it up.
I also spent a long time cleaning up the seat tube cluster/seat stays with a file.
Click on the images, as usual...
It's getting a bunch of new parts. New generic deep section silver rims, chrome fork, and a brake. single speed. I stripped the black paint off of these levers. It's gonna look nice.

Looking forward to seeing it all complete... certainly doing it justice, love those rims.
This is how i had it mocked up... still have the campag seatpost to fit if you need one. Good luck.
Because I wanted the rims to be a pair, I assumed they would be...they're not but they'll do.

Nearly got my Gazelle sorted but the front wheel is juddering under braking.
I had that problem using a Gazelle track fork with round section fork blades too.

I have recently obtained a carlton Mixte frame and currently set up with curly bars and 10 speed.
It been out side or a while so was thinking do I restore or single speed it? Was thinking may be a service and sort out then either give to a girlie or sell.
What do you guys think?
Oh pictures to follow.
Its a carlton courette, with centre pull wieman raleggh brakes and suntour gears. Heres the website details it a late 70's one. http://www.carltoncycles.me.uk/models/courette-2.htm
