The next showing of the Hackney Bicycle Film Society will be the documentary by filmmaker Stephen Auerbach, which tells the story of the Race Across America (RAAM), an epic 3000‐mile bicycle race that challenges riders to cross the country in just ten days.
First held in 1982, RAAM is considered the most challenging sporting event in the world. Top competitors ride over 300 miles per day and sleep only a few hours each night. With little prize money at stake, the fundamental goal of the race is simply to finish, a challenge half of all riders fail to meet.
The Showing will be in Stoke Newington on Monday the 14th June
To attend you need to be a member which you can apply for by supplying your home e-mail address, Occupation, and actual address. Please do not supply your work e-mail as I am sick of getting peoples out of office reply every time I do a film notification.
