Yes they are, I haven't tried them so don't know how good they are though, hence £5.
The pictures aren't great so the pads show as darker than they are, they're definitely not standard pads. They were sold as carbon rim pads, however were cheaper than the dura-ace pads so (as I mention above) I'm not sure how good they are.
Agreed the faux-carbon holders are tacky, but I just wanted to see how the cheaper pads compared to dura-ace, and that's how they came. Smooth!
